Khuddakanikaya Suththa Nipathaye Uragawarrgaye Pela Padharrththa Bhawarrththa

The objective of this edition is to produce an annotated edition on twelve “Suthra Desanas” of Lord Gauthama Buddha which were categorized under Mraga Wagga (Mraga Section) of Suttha Nipatha. Suttha Nipathaya is one of the major sections of Khuddhaka Nikaya. Following twelve sutthas were subjected to this annotation edition namely 1.Mraga 2.Dhaniya 3.Khaggavisana 4.Kasi Bharadvaja 5.Chunda 6.Parabhava 7.Wasala 8.Mettha 9.Hemawatha 10.Alawaka 11.Wijaya 12.Muni. With the opening introductory preface the editor briefs how the thripitaka (three pitakas namely vinaya suthra abhidharma) comprised with and the historical evaluation of writing the religious literature. The subject matter (suttas) in pali verse is followed up by standard annotations. A faithful Sinhala translation was produced for each suttha for easy understanding of the readers. The word for word paraphrases for the pali text was provided for the benefit of advanced students.
