This edition has produced a valued text on Sanskrit poetry and literature in Sinhala Language for the benefit of scholars and advance students who wish to study Sanskrit and other oriental languages. According to the edition the Sinhala language and Sinhala literature absorbed nourishment from the Sanskrit verses and literature in various means. Even though a number of classical Sanskrit texts were translated into Sinhala only a few books were authored in this language. The aim has been text in to bridge the gap to a certain extent with the examples of the Sanskrit poets Sanskrit texts and the conventions of Sanskrit literature. The editor has made a successful attempt achieving his objectives. This text is more suitable for advanced students.
