This manual of indigenous medicine comes from the personal collections of Kolonna Korale Kalu Kattandiya Karolis Appuhamy of Polgas Ovita and Bandara to whom the wonder remedies had been passed down by their ancestors. Over three hundred and sixty (360) remedies have been grouped in to three sections. Components of remedies are medicinal herbs prescribed for ailments such as like constipation stomach aches wounds cuts abrasions dog bites crocodile bites pains in joints sprains dislocations broken bones and many more. These traditional remedies are said to be time tested and proved to be effective.
