Namashtashathakaya Ha Nawarathnaya

Many may not know about Lord Gauthama Buddha perhaps is how many names are used to address the Enlightened One. Namashta Shatakaya is written by an ancient scholar to list down 108 names. The slim volume also elaborates as to why the Buddha deserves to be addressed by those names. Beginning from the most famous salutation Sambuddha (because the Buddha attained Enlightenment on his own knowledge and experiments) the collection ends with Punyakshetran (which indicates how people can generate merits by reflecting the virtues of the Buddha). The Navarathnaya elaborates the nine great virtues of the Buddha one by one.
