Pali Mahaawanso Wanarathna Vyakya Parichcheda 20 21 22

The present edition contains three chapters 20 (twenty) 21 (twenty one) and 22 (twenty two) from the Pali version of Mahawansa. The work which means ‘Great Dynasty’ in Sinhalese is considered as an authentic account of Sri Lankan history dating back to King Vijaya’s arrival in Sri Lanka. Divided into 3 (three) main parts the Mahavansa is said to have been written at different periods. Combined together the work is considered the longest historic record in the world. The present edition features the Pali version followed by the annotated version. The work not only exposes the reader into the history of Sri Lanka but also offers a literary experience with vivid figures of speech.
