Pujawaliya a classical Sinhala text written during the Dambadeniye period in Sri Lanka history by Venerable Buddha Puththra of Muyurapada Pirivena on invitation of King Maha Parakkramabhahu is treated as a precious production in the Sinhala literature. This edition containing five paragraphs namely eighteen twenty twenty two twenty three and twenty nine is an annotated edition of a canonical text designed for students. Being a student edition targeted for the preliminary examination of oriental studies society it contains the essential tutorial aids. This text opened with an enlightening introduction and conforms to the standard nouns of editing classical Sinhala texts. The prescribed text in followed by a word for word paraphrase. Supplementary notes are provided for further education of abstruse concepts.
