Sangharaja Sadhu Chariyawa

The Biographies of Venerable Welivita Saranankara Sangharaja was originally written by Aiththaliyadde Muhamdiram Rala. It describes the main events in the life of Saranankara Sangharaja. His strenuous efforts in reviving the Buddha Sasana once again in Sri Lanka specially reestablishing higher Buddhist ordination in Sri Lanka which was arbitrarily destroyed by the Colonial rulers. He was in the forefront in inviting and facilitating the arrival of Venerable Upali Maha Thero from Thailand. This book also describes his contribution towards the learning of Dhamma and the line of illustrious Bhikkhus who were his pupils.
