Paravi Sandeshaya Thotagamuwe Sri Rahula Himiyange Padagatharthaya Visthara Vimarshana Sahitha

A historical message poem written by Venerable Thotagamuwe Sri Rahula Thero during the Kingdom of Kotte Sri Lanka in 15th Century. The messenger of Paravi Sandeshaya was a Pigeon. The receiver was the God Upulwan who is regarded the guardian of Buddha Sasana and the world. The Pigeon was entrusted the task of making a plea to God Upulwan requesting his blessings Princess Chadrawathi the daughter of the King Parakramabahu VI of Kotte to have a moral husband and afterward a son capable of protecting Sri Lanka.
