A historical message poem written by Venerable Thotagamuwe Sri Rahula Thero during the Kingdom of Kotte Sri Lanka in 15th Century. The messenger of Paravi Sandeshaya was a Pigeon. The receiver was the God Upulwan who is regarded the guardian of Buddha Sasana and the world. The Pigeon was entrusted the task of making a plea to God Upulwan requesting his blessings Princess Chadrawathi the daughter of the King Parakramabahu VI of Kotte to have a moral husband and afterward a son capable of protecting Sri Lanka. Throughout the tour from Sri Jayawardhanapura to Devinuwara the poet explains visual splendor of different areas women and also the cultural behaviors of the society to the messenger. This is a leading creation with poetic erudition. This edition is with descriptive notes enriching the poetic perceptions of readers.
